It’s an exciting time at Helping Hands Cambodia. We’ve been given land by the community and are ready to build classes on it – and we need your help!
As a supporter of Helping Hands you will know how tirelessly we work to improve education in Prasat Chas village, rural Cambodia. The vast majority of our near-300 students come from background of extreme poverty and are at risk of illiteracy, ill-numeracy, poor health, poor hygiene and continued poverty. We invest in core education for these deserving children in order to provide them with the tools to break their cycle of poverty and lead Cambodia towards a brighter future.
At Helping Hands Cambodia we currently have nearly 300 students and only 2 classrooms! Each student receives one hour of education per day (Khmer or English language), plus extra activities outside during the dry season. The addition of extra land with enough space for two more classrooms gives us the opportunity to double the education we currently offer! It also involves two new teachers, increasing employment in the local area.
Helping Hands is committed to investing in education in Prasat Chas village and we need your help! To prep the land, build the classrooms, stock them with desks and educational materials and employ two new teachers, we need to raise US$34,000.
